Safety is METRO’s number one priority. As such, METRO is working diligently to ensure the safety and well-being of its passengers and team members in light of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

METRO is working closely with numerous organizations to ensure we are taking the proper steps to prevent the spread of germs.

We have switched to stronger cleaning solvents. Door handles and other high-touch areas at the Robert K. Pfaff Transit Center are being cleaned thoroughly every hour. Our Vehicle Services team members are visiting the Transit Center throughout the day to clean and disinfect bus interiors, focusing on stanchions, handrails, and fareboxes. In addition to the daily cleaning of our fleet, Vehicle Services is also performing extra scrubs on buses.

METRO encourages the public to follow the CDC guidelines for illness prevention, including washing hands often and avoiding touching your face. For more information on coronavirus, visit the CDC website.
