Completed in 2009, our Transit Center serves as a hub for our regular line service buses and our passengers. The Center is a marvel of environmentally sound construction practices, incorporating everything from recyclable building materials and solar panels to geothermal wells. Plus, the Center is easy on the eyes, too. Check out our photo gallery!
Our Center features a full-service METRO ticket counter, a cafe, year-round art displays, WiFi access and plenty of space to relax while you wait for your bus. If you work for a non-profit agency, you may also be able to book our community room for your use. It’s free, but spots fill up fast. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, WE ARE NOT SCHEDULING THE USE OF OUR COMMUNITY ROOM TO ANY ORGANIZATION OR NON-PROFIT.
Don’t forget you can link up to services from Greyhound, SARTA and PARTA if you need to venture outside of Summit County. But, with all the stuff to do at our Transit Center and downtown Akron, you might want to stick around.
