METRO Regional Transit Authority in Akron, Ohio is currently seeking applicants for its Journeyman Mechanic Apprenticeship Program.
This is a 24-month training program which should ultimately qualify the apprentice to become a Journeyman Mechanic and perform all phases of bus repair. Position requires 1-2 years post high school training at a diesel tech school. Applicants can have no more than two (2) points on driver’s license and must pass a drug screen, functional capacity exam, physical, and background check prior to acceptance into the program.
