METRO RTA will host Summit County Public Health's Minority Health Fair on Tuesday, April 23rd from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Robert K. Pfaff Transit Center, 631 S. Broadway St., Akron. There will be free health screenings, vendors, raffles, and prizes.

Attendees can ride free to the event on any METRO line-service route when you show the operator the flier (pictured right). The free fare does not apply to METRO SCAT, Call-A-Bus, or Northcoast Express services.

Community vendors who will be providing on-site services and screenings include Akron Summit County Library, American Heart Association, AxessPointe Dental, Beyond Expectations Barber College, Canapi, Community Action Pathways HUB, Community Legal Aid, East Akron Neighborhood Development Corp., Equitas Health, Head Start, Heart to Heart Family Suport Center, Life Banc, Mount Calvary Baptist Church Nurses, Project Learn, Rape Crisis Center of Medina & Summit Counties, Red Oak Behavioral Health, Summit County Public Health, Summa Health, the University of Akron, and Vantage Aging.
