The Roo Express operates on 15–20-minute frequency so you're never waiting long. University of Akron students, faculty, and staff can ride free* on all METRO fixed-routes by simply swiping their Zip Card in the farebox.
The Roo Express is open to the public! Just pay your regular fare or swipe your Zip Card.
New Look! A smaller, purple METRO bus is your ride around campus. Look for METRO’s University of Akron bus stop signs to board.
*The Zip Card can be used on METRO’s Northcoast Express routes to Cleveland to receive a $1 discount. The Zip Card is not valid on METRO Select services (METRO Drives, formerly SCAT, Call-A-Bus, or FlexRide).
