Summer Road Construction Detours!

Summer weather can mean lots of construction projects are underway.

Here's where we will post detours on routes affected by construction.

Case Avenue at Carter Lumber (Eastland Ave. and Newton St.) will close for 3 weeks starting on Monday, July 6th.

Three Route #19 bus stops will have to temporarily close: one outbound stop on Eastland Ave. between Case Ave. & Wellington Ave. and two inbound stops between Wellington Ave. and N. Case Ave.

On Monday, July 6, the Route #9 Vern Odom/East bus shelter at Acme Fresh Market on East Ave will close for two weeks due to sewer line repair in the area.

Passengers can catch the #9 at the bus stop on East Ave. and Harpster Ave.

The planned detour is as follows:

#9 outbound detour:
Regular route on Battles Ave to a left on 24 St. SW
Right on Harpster Ave.
Left on East Ave.
Resume regular route

#9 inbound detour
Regular route on East Ave. to a right on Harpster Ave.
Left on 24th St. SW
Right on Battles Ave.
Resume regular route

Road construction will close Brown & South Streets, Monday, June 29.

The closure impacts Route #17 Brown/Inman and Route #111 South Main/Waterloo. The detours are as follows:

#17 outbound detour:
Regular route to E. Exchange
Right on Beaver St.
Right on Corley St.
Left on Margaret St.
Left on Johnston St.
Continue regular route

#17 inbound detour:
Regular route to Johnston St.
Right on Johnston St.
Right on Margaret St.
Left on Corley St.
Left on Beaver St.
Left on Exchange St.
Continue regular route

#111 outbound detour:
Regular route to South St.
Right on Kling St.
Left on Baird St.
Continue to Brown St.
Resume regular route

#111 inbound detour:
Regular route to Brown St.
Left on Baird St.
Right on Kling St.
Continue to South St.
Resume regular route

Buses will pick up passengers on the detour route. Please flag your bus down until temporary stops can be installed.
